Hi, I’m Sophie.
I design Human-centered approach to Change
I combine psychology and behavioral science with design to focus on designing processes, approaches, tools, strategies that promote positive and measurable changes in people’s lives. I design scalable interventions for individual, group, organisation, and social transformation.
14 years in Service Design & Innovation
Social & behavioral change is the outcome, while services are the enabler. I facilitate and coach innovation in private/governmental organisations. My work is mostly applied in healthcare, education, and human-resource processes.
Up close
Little events, ordinary things
I actively pursue a back-to-basics lifestyle to reconnect with nature, and I believe that greatness is a lot of small things done well every day. I am committed to solving problems without creating a new product because we have everything we need to solve our problems through behavior change, creativity, and communication.
Eastern philosophy, rooted in mindfulness
I am convinced that most wisdom is found by leaning into your pain and growing from it. I also believe that most pain is a man-made drama our minds create to escape. My philosophy is yoga and Eastern-influenced, centered mainly on self-knowledge and being present with yourself.
I was born in Los Angeles, raised in Indonesia and Singapore, and have Chinese heritage. I’m fascinated by family, ancestry, and cultural origin. I carry deep cultural respect and sensitivity in all my international experiences. I live in Oslo, Norway, with my husband and two daughters for the last 9 years. When I am not working, I bike out in the woods, I teach yoga and meditation, and sweat it out in the fjord sauna and cold plunge.
